Information for students
Students find that many players are vying for their attention through an ever-growing number of information channels. The student body is not a single mass either, but consists of different individuals in different phases of both their studies and their lives.

In a complex world of information, it can be challenging to separate relevant from irrelevant information. The partners in Project Student Wellbeing will explore this further to understand students' experiences and find solutions that reduce the feeling of "information overload".

Student Wellbeing is currently working on one activity within the Information for students work area. This has been named Resource group for student information.

Resource group for student info

In the fall of 2024, Project Student Wellbeing will establish a resource group to improve the flow of information and accessibility for students in Grimstad and Kristiansand. The group consists of communication staff from the partner organizations and other relevant actors who work with student information. Important participants are also appointed students, so that both sender and receiver can collaborate on the solutions.

The resource group uses design thinking methodology to understand students' needs and develop solutions. The work explores the needs throughout the student journey, from before choosing a place to study, to being an experienced student who wants to establish themselves in Agder with a relevant career and social network.

The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the students' experiences so that the stakeholders in the resource group can ensure a more effective information experience. This work may also uncover new opportunities and solutions.

To ensure synergies, the Resource Group for Student Info collaborates with the regional pilot project Growth in the South. The aim of this project is to strengthen Agder's reputation and promote the region as an attractive place to live and work. The establishment of the Resource Group for Student Info in the fall of 2024 marks the start of important work to make the study cities more accessible and attractive to students.
