/ Solar park on an industrial roof in Birkeland
Five actors in Birkeland are investigating whether it is possible to create a common energy source in the center of Birkeland.
Together, the companies have more than 20,000 square meters of industrial roofs that could potentially become one of Norway's largest solar parks. The electricity can go straight into the production of the companies, giving them a head start in the green shift.
Funding is now being sought for a pilot project and a feasibility study to determine the extent to which the idea can be realized. BTG, which develops solar cells, is responsible for project management. The other companies involved in the project are 3B, Scanflex, Uldal, Foss fabrikker and Syncron Media.
Arild Tveide from Business Region Kristiansand is assisting the project team.
