/ Consultation: Strategy for value creation in the Kristiansand region
The six municipalities in the Kristiansand region want to promote Southern Norway as the country's leading renewable region in a draft of a new value creation strategy. The strategy that the project group has prepared is now out for consultation.
Following an initiative from Kristiansand municipality in the summer of 2022, the five other municipalities in Region Kristiansand were invited to participate in the rolling of the strategic business plan from 2014.
In the work, the strategy has been renamed; Renewable Region Southern Norway - strategy for value creation in the Kristiansand region.

Member of the project group and case officer for Kristiansand Municipality Susanne Lende adds that the renewable energy industry in Southern Norway is in a very exciting phase, where technological development and opportunities contribute to an increased willingness to invest.
- "We see an enormous drive in projects within offshore wind, hydrogen and solar energy that are about to put Southern Norway on the world map," she says.
The project group proposes that the municipalities in the Kristiansand Region invite broad cooperation to promote Southern Norway as a renewable region.
