The University of Agder has 13 000 students and over 1200 employees, and co-creation of knowledge is the university's vision. UiA offers a wide range of studies in many fields of work, and is located on two modern campuses in Kristiansand and Grimstad.
UiA is an open and inclusive university characterized by a collaborative culture. UiA aims to further develop education and research at a high international level.
The University of Agder is helping to prepare the region for the future, and we work closely with business and industry in terms of creation and innovation.
Around 1 200 teachers, nurses, engineers, economists and administrators are educated at the University of Agder each year. UiA offers internships to as many students as possible, which makes them more attractive to employers after graduation. Nine out of ten of our students get a relevant job within the first year after graduation.
UiA and Studentsamskipnaden i Agder are working together to make Sørlandet known as the best place to study in the country. Students at the university are among the country's most satisfied, and can enjoy their studies on two modern campuses within easy reach of the city center. Few other universities and university colleges offer the same variety of student housing, fitness centers, kindergartens, hiking trails and cultural centers close to campus as the University of Agder.
