Welcome to Secrets of Agder!
Get to know other workers and their spouses in the region.
6 times a year, between October and May, Business Region Kristiansand/Relocation Agder and the University of Agder organize a social gathering where both Norwegians and internationals are welcome.
Secrets of Agder starts at 18.00 and ends at 21.00. In the first hour, we want everyone to get to know the region they have settled in better. There are different topics and speakers each time.
The rest of the evening is spent mingling and getting to know each other.
It varies where we meet, but most often we are at the student house BARE in Kristiansand. See meeting place under the relevant event date.
We will serve snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Tonje Tjøtta conservator from Vest-Agder Museum, will tell us more about Kristiansand's history

Kenneth Stubhaug Karlsen from Tekna (a technical natural science member association), will together with member representatives from the board in Agder, tell us about the culture of using trade unions in Norway
There will also be plenty of time to meet new friends and mingle, over some snacks and drinks

- Clare Patricia Jortveit, Senior Advisor for Internationalization, UiA University of Agder. Born in England, raised in the US, studied in Denmark, worked in Slovakia and Australia, and lived in Norway since 1995 - Clare will in her unique way give us an account of the experience of settling in Norway.
- A local bank will explain what it takes for an international customer to get a mortgage and buy a home in Norway
- As always, there will be plenty of time to meet new friends and mingle
