Both vocational education, vocational schools and a young university are adaptable and facilitate the development of the skills that industry needs. The region has done this before, most recently with the development of mechatronics education, with students at bachelor, master and doctoral level.

Short distances
Short distances to the labor market, suppliers and customers will be important for you. Kristiansand is the city closest to the continent. We are the traffic hub of Southern Norway, with an international airport and the region's largest port.
There are several freight lines to foreign countries. People, raw materials and products have short travel distances and the journey can be made in many alternative ways. Two-thirds of Agder's population is within 60 minutes' driving distance.

Sustainability is an important part of Kristiansand's goals. In the municipal plan's community part, it has been decided that Kristiansand will be a low-emission society in 2030. Our goal is to become the country's first all-electric region by 2030.
