Scanflex, Uldal, Foss and Aanesland are some of Norway's leading wood products factories and are all located in Birkenes municipality. They joined forces with Business Region Kristiansand to organize Tredagen, a major joint day of inspiration for their industry.
Some of Norway's leading wood products factories in their market areas are located in Birkenes municipality. Scanflex, Uldal, Foss and Aanesland all have solid national positions with building materials chains, builders and contractors.
To ensure further growth and development, the 4 companies share a common challenge; how can we also ensure a higher awareness and clearer position among architects, builders and other key decision makers? What is needed to ensure that our products are chosen early in the planning process?
To answer these questions, Scanflex, Uldal, Foss and Aanesland Fabrikker joined forces to organize Wood Day 2019. A big joint inspiration day with local, national and international participants. Architects, contractors and decision-makers at regional, national and international level were invited, as well as contacts from the building materials industry, builders, craftsmen and local contractors. The aim of the Third Day was to give the 4 major players even clearer positions in their established markets and target groups.
The main program for the first three-day event took place at Aanesland Fabrikker, followed by company visits to the other partners; Uldal, Scanflex and Foss Bad. The three-day event was an inspirational day with high quality and positive ripple effects for the rest of the forestry and timber industry and other local and regional business actors in the timber industry in Agder. In the long term, there are plans to repeat the three-day event every other year.
