/ A boost for the Agder food region

Food producers in the region are working together to promote local food and food tourism in Agder.

Through collaboration, insight and the use of technology, the aim is to achieve sustainable and profitable value creation in local food production and sales across the municipalities in Agder. Led by project manager Siv Kristiansen of the company Day of Week, work is now under way on a pilot project, with funding from Agder County Council, to investigate whether it is possible, through digital collaboration, to give local food producers in Agder greater market access and at the same time make local food experiences and food experience concepts more accessible to buyers.

The goals of the project include increasing market access and profitability, facilitating sustainable food consumption and food tourism, and creating more income opportunities for local food producers in Agder.

Arild Tveide from Birkenes Næringsforum/Business Region Kristiansand is assisting the project, in addition to Norkart and Marketing Clinic.
