/ U40 - our city, our future!

On 01.01.2020, the municipalities of Søgne, Songdalen and Kristiansand will merge into a new and larger municipality. Just like companies, municipalities, cities and villages must make plans and strategies for a desired future. Now the strategy for the new Kristiansand will be prepared, and we want you to be part of the process!

Kristiansand shall be the best municipality in Norway to live and work in, and it shall be a municipality we can all be proud of.

At this meeting you will hear how Kristiansand is planning for the future, and at the same time you will be able to contribute to telling us what is important to you.

Lukas Wedemeyer is 33 years old and a German political scientist who moved to Kristiansand in 2011 because of the job opportunities. He has worked in Kristiansand municipality as a business and international advisor, and has worked with strategies for business development, making the region attractive and attracting and retaining competence in the region.
In the new municipality, he is head of strategy, and will come to U40 to talk about how the municipality plans and strategizes to be an attractive municipality for businesses, population and visitors.

Maria Steinstø works at WSP Norway, planning and designing sustainable communities that are fit for the future.
She is a dedicated woman from Etne in Hordaland who went to southern Norway to become a civil engineer, then went on to Oxford Brookes University to do a Master's degree in Urban Design. Now many cities and towns benefit from her knowledge.
At U40, she will inspire and engage us by telling us about her dream city and what it takes to create it

We will start with mingling and a bite to eat before the program starts at 17:00. The evening will end in an informal setting at one of the city's restaurants.

We hope you will join us to give input on the direction in which the city should develop.
