/ Will establish e-hubs in Agder
Together with the companies Dignity Collective AS, Babybanden.no and JDD Utstyr AS, E-Waves will explore the possibilities of establishing three e-hubs.
E-Waves - Networking for e-commerce currently consists of 35 different companies in Agder, and its mission is to create sustainable e-commerce solutions. Three of the companies will now join forces to offer the e-commerce industry growth hubs with shared office space, warehousing and logistics.
- By bringing e-commerce companies together under one roof and working together, we can create economies of scale. But perhaps the most important benefit is the informal sharing of expertise that can take place over coffee during lunch breaks. We hope that this will be an arena for win-win situations, where companies with growth potential can be creative, share experiences and create new jobs in e-commerce," says E-Waves project manager Børge Jomaas.
The companies Dignity Collective, Babybanden.no and JDD Utstyr are the initiators, and will establish one hub each.
The test project is still in its infancy, but the companies are interested in exploring solutions related to work training places and the process of bringing production home from abroad, among other things.
E-Waves will have a project and support function, and help connect players who can boost the test project.
- Our first priority right now is to look for e-commerce companies that can fit into this and find out what their needs are. Eventually, we'll also see if we're talking about different niches in the three hubs, but we need to start small and see what works first," Jomaas concludes.
Each hub will have one or more "mentors" who can give advice to new entrepreneurs, so that they avoid falling into the same traps as others have done. The aim is for the e-hubs to gradually become a natural "next step" for new e-commerce entrepreneurs from Innoventus Sør and Driv Agder, for example.
