/ Planning work in Kristiansand

On 01.01.2020, the municipalities of Søgne, Songdalen and Kristiansand will merge into a new and larger municipality. Just like companies, municipalities, cities and villages must make plans and strategies for a desired future. Now the strategy for the new Kristiansand will be prepared, and we want the business community to be part of the process!

Over the next few months, the municipal plan's community section will be designed and the strategic business plan for the Kristiansand region's action section will be renewed. The community part is the new Kristiansand's strategy for meeting the challenges of the future. It will be an easy-to-understand strategic document (such as the old Kristiansand plan) that sets the course towards 2030. The UN's sustainable development goals will also be of great importance / will form the basis for the strategy.

The municipality will continue to have world-class business and industry clusters, construction and retail. We will be an attractive region for young people to study and work in, and businesses will have access to the right skills. Business development is important, both to further develop existing businesses, but also to develop the businesses of the future with new enterprises. The new municipality will take care of the fishing fleet, facilitate maritime and marine industries and become Agder's second largest agricultural municipality. A strong focus on new business areas within green growth and green energy means that there will be a need for even more technology and development of the circular economy.

In the coming period, there will be an opportunity for participation and dialogue in the development of the content of the strategy and the measures related to industry in the action plan. You will be invited to meetings, workshops or other forms of participation. We hope you will join us in further developing the region.

Scheduled meetings:

We cooperate with associations, clusters and update the list on an ongoing basis.
If you wish to receive direct invitations to meetings/workshops in connection with business, please send an email to tina.abrahamsen@kristiansand.kommune.no

Citizens, teams, NGOs and other stakeholders will be invited to participate in the work, in separate meetings/workshops or, for example, through guest speakers
