The financing environments are characterized by a high level of expertise and a strong desire to contribute to growth in the Kristiansand region. As in the innovation environments, the financing and competence environments are well spread to be able to help everything from founders in the start-up phase to large multinational companies with major R&D and innovation projects.

Research Council

The Research Council of Norway is the main research policy advisor to the government and ministries, distributing approximately NOK 9 billion annually for research and innovation.

Innovation Norway

Innovation Norway helps you if you are starting up or already running a business in the Agder counties. Innovation Norway Agder offers funding, advice and a range of services that make it possible to build a better business, or enter new markets with your goods and services.

Southern Norway Skills Fund

The Sørlandet Skills Fund aims to contribute to skills development in Vest-Agder to ensure jobs and good living conditions. Competence means the ability to establish and apply knowledge for practical purposes.

AA Development and Competence Fund

The purpose of the Aust-Agder Development and Competence Fund is to contribute to increased competence and innovation in Aust-Agder, and to secure and establish jobs and good living conditions in the region.

Skagerak Capital

Skagerak Capital is a leading manager of seed and venture funds that invest in companies that develop new technologies with a positive impact on society. Skagerak Capital assists with capital, expertise and networks that contribute to development and value creation for the companies.

Connect

Connect Sørlandet helps investors find the good candidates that deserve capital. Connect is a network organization that uses members' expertise to further develop entrepreneurial and early-stage companies.

SkatteFUNN

SkatteFUNN provides tax deductions for R&D costs: 20% for small and medium-sized companies and 18% for large companies. All Norwegian companies with R&D activities can apply to the Research Council of Norway for approval.

Cultiva

Cultiva secures jobs and good living conditions in Kristiansand by supporting various art, culture and knowledge projects.

Business Region Kristiansand

Together with Agder County Council, Lindesnes Municipality and Vennesla Municipality, Business Region Kristiansand allocates funds to collaborative projects that support the Agder 2030 regional plan and the current business strategy.

Research mobilization Agder

Forskningsmobilisering Agder is a low-threshold initiative that offers support to private companies with fewer than 250 employees to stimulate increased use of research in innovation and development processes.
